Shirley Enebrad is an author, speaker, and certified grief counselor dedicated to providing grief support and helping others in coping with grief and loss. She is also an award-winning television producer and writer, with experience at the ABC affiliate KOMO-TV in Seattle, Washington, and WRAL-TV, the CBS affiliate in Raleigh, North Carolina. After freelancing for 11 years on various network and cable programs, Shirley has been acknowledged for her exceptional documentaries and news stories, earning numerous broadcast awards, including an Emmy award for Cancer Through the Eyes of Kids in 1992, an Edward R. Murrow national award for Troubled Waters in 1989, and a top honor from Investigative Reporters and Editors for Poor Justice: The Susan Cummings Story in 1997.
Shirley volunteered extensively, serving as President of the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Western Washington from 2001 to 2011. Additionally, she traveled to Washington, D.C. as the Team Leader for the CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation, representing Washington state from 2004 to 2009.
Now residing in Hawaii, Shirley is working on her next non-fiction book focused on healing through stories. She also conducts workshops and provides one-on-one grief support to her clients, helping them navigate their journeys over the rainbow bridge.
